2. Scroll down to Advanced Settings section
3. Tick box marked "Warn me before posting media without alt text"
4. Click "Save Changes"If you're using an app, this option should be in the app's Settings section (exact wording varies by app).

Hasn't that already been there for a while?I don't think this built-in option is known to everyone, as many people still use the reminder bot.
It's better to hear about this twice than not at all.
EDIT: Just checked the Mastodon Github, it was merged at beginning of 2025, not sure when it was actually released.
