️ If you @ someone in a post on Mastodon, that person will be notified and they will be able to see that post. This happens no matter what visibility you're using for your post, even if it's a DM or a followers-only post.So, be really careful if you @ someone!
If you want to mention an account without the account seeing the post, replace the @ signs with the word AT before you publish, and make sure you're using a non-public visibility like followers-only or DMs.
