The new #euro notes should feature peak european innovation.

@remaster
Yes, great! Here's my proposal for the 200€ bill.@magezwitscher @Stinkstiefel @remaster
now that's more like it!
-
@remaster This is probably meant as a joke, but honestly what isn’t there to like?
It’s simple and effective and the burden of implementation was put on the drink manufacturers.
That doesn’t negate the success in European collaboration at the other end of the spectrum. Airbus outsells Boeing almost 2:1, Ariane launches the JWSS at such precision it *doubles* the telescope’s life span. Galileo is a top-notch (if not the best) GNSS.
So I’ll take your bottle caps
@photovince I would say it’s both a joke and serious, because it’s a good innovation for the environment, but at the same time it has a reputation of being annoying, literally in your eye, and that’s perhaps not something you brag about in this manner. 🤭

@remaster fuck no
-
@remaster What’s the problem with plastic bottle caps? Reasonable improvement. I don’t really get the logic behind alm the jokes. I mean, it’s understandable when some MAGA idiots do it, but this is the first time I saw it on Mastodon feed.
@oleksify From what I’ve heard, the regulation actually is working and helping the environment.
But it has a reputation of being annoying, literally ”in your eye”, although that depends on the manufacturers design.
Not perhaps the thing you brag with, so that’s a little funny. -

@remaster
Yes, great! Here's my proposal for the 200€ bill.@magezwitscher @remaster for what? Have you ever tried to buy something with a 100€ bill? It's 100% impossible. Most people already get a panic attack at 50€....

@MattMoose @ahltorp @bill88t @Elektrotier @remaster The UK has ancient, crumbling drainage infrastructure already jammed with wet wipes. One would think you all overjoyed about the attached bottle caps making it all the way to the landfill.
@Linza @MattMoose @ahltorp @bill88t @Elektrotier @remaster I’ve never separated a bottle cap from the bottle in all the years I’ve been alive without good reason. But every bottle I now drink from either stabs me in the face or drips some of the contents down my shirt. So yeah this was a pure lose-lose situation for me.

The new #euro notes should feature peak european innovation.
@remaster it’s annoying 101% of the time.

@remaster The 5€ banknote should feature straight cucumbers.

@Linza it is. It’s from the early days of Image Playground on iPhone.
-
@remaster
Should rather show a USB-C charger! -
@Elektrotier I agree. The attached bottle cap is a good thing. It’s just funny because it is also annoying, and thus probably not something you would feature in this way.
@remaster @Elektrotier
The cap doesn't stay open even if you shout at it, and that's not funny
-
@magezwitscher @remaster 4G *and* 5G? Amazing!
@reynir @magezwitscher @remaster
But honest! Most people still use NSA mode. (Non-Standalone)

@Znexhf_Svax @remaster @gruber I'm sure some European politicians would love to do that for us just to crawl up his ass more
