This cabin was carried up by foot and skis and built, piece by piece, through the years leading up to the final construction of 1913. It has been in constant use and maintained by the sports club since, and is still open every Sunday selling snacks and coffee.

The young skating phenomenon was on the verge of making history. Just two months after this photo was taken in #Bergen, she would skate her way to her first Olympic Gold in St. Moritz, kicking off a reign that would last for three consecutive #Olympics, and lead to a second career as one of the highest-paid Hollywood actresses in the 1930s.

A busy day at #Skoltegrunnskaien in #Bergen in the mid-20s. While the passengers on the docked steamship had to find alternative ways into town, the #train on the right was there exclusively for the goods.

The #railway tracks out here on the quay were opened in 1921 to streamline logistics, allowing cargo to be transferred from keel to wheel.
