Sampling this year's apricot harvest for seed. Both are Baltic varieties that so far are growing and cropping well in the warmer parts of Denmark and not at all in the coldest parts - because of late frosts to flowers.

@juergen_hubert Good reminder! One thing I'm missing from your description: Can you have competing scientific theories in your definition? I'm reminded of Kuhn's concept of paradigms which entails that there is always some conflicting evidence that any paradigm tends to dismiss (as noise, mistakes etc). Paradigms tend to shift when the conflicting evidence becomes overwhelming and a new theory manages to account for those previous exceptions.

@lzg I have had the same thinking and tried to learn it that way - with varying success. And we do have to do some of the learning on our own. Having been in training group settings that have something very close to that learning goal made me change my mind a bit. Specifically how helpful it can be, when you're overwhelmed with discomfort, to have a leader to guide you through some it and then find a subgroup - someone else who relates and can help contain it, so you're not working alone.

@evan I chose network and this is mostly how I use it. I think it is the important meaning too. With my friends we sometimes use "fediverse" to refer to a culture, but that is mostly as a joke - e.g. if we see someone on the street that looks like a stereotypical fediverse user. It's a fun game we play trying to get at the hidden patterns of this user base. I want fediverse to continue to facilitate a home for that culture, but ultimately I also want other cultures here - many.

Beach mustard pods are ripe for picking along the beaches in Denmark now. They're succulent and crisp with a fiery mustard flavor. Pour hot vinegar-water-sugar over them and let them pickle for a while to get a condiment.

Domesticated incels. Probably the most terrifying band name I've come across in a long time. I had to panic search for an interview just to affirm they were not actually propagating incel views. To my relief, they're not and are in fact really smart. It's like I am thrown back to get an experience of how it was like in 1991 when Cannibal Corpse came out and hysteric citizens were asking themselves if this band indeed consisted of cannibals eating dead people.
