@jwcph I'd argue that AI does have some very useful applications (applied sparingly/judiciously/etc.). Especially depending how we define the term "AI" - I mean, spellcheck is helpful and that could be considered AI.

But to the point of the column, specifically about generative AI - that's tougher to defend. I fear the moment when genAI has been intertwined with our essential systems and thus we *can't* remove it easily...
