@FediTips@social.growyourown.services wondering if you know anything about Akkoma’s automatic post deletion behavior. Easy enough to find how to set it up, but unlike Mastodon I don’t see any means of telling Akkoma which posts not to delete. Is that just not possible on Akkoma? Post deletion applies to all posts, regardless if pinned or bookmarked?

If you want help with using Mastodon or the wider Fediverse, please feel free to reply, or mention me, or send a message! -
Wanderer is a Strava-style Fediverse platform for recording and sharing your journeys and trails.@FediTips@social.growyourown.services this is exciting! I left Strava a year ago or so, one of the very last corporate-owned social networks I was still using. I’ve been hoping for a FOSS and federated solution ever since.
I signed up on a Wanderer server to check it out, but I think the software needs work before it will be a practical replacement for something like Strava. Limited activities (no running?) and loads of issues updating profile, finding others to follow, checking my feed, etc. I’ll keep checking back, though. Hopefully this will be a proper solution in a year or so.
Thanks for the tip!

Mastodon includes a built-in post scheduling system, which lets you create posts that will be automatically published at certain times and dates.@FediTips@social.growyourown.services seems silly that it’s built in, but only accessible through a 3rd-party app
