@solar_chase is it reasonable that I get a bit confused by posts like these that mix GW with GWh? The "for" suggests an addition that makes no sense; I'm not trying to be pedantic, just to understand what's going on.

@Zahlenzauberin @CyclesSmiles @blondy Yes. Because while there is plenty of discrimination and hate coming from a secular perspective it still finds it origin in religion. There's plenty of religious hate even in secular countries but also, even in Germany, religious views get a kind of protection that isn't granted when that same point of view isn't presented as religious. To pretend that's not a thing is silly, even in the most secular and/or progressive areas or countries.And on top of that, the far right is creating a religious narrative, also here in Europe including Germany. That has been very much a thing the last few years, to start with so-called 'Judeo-Christian values'.Anyway, I'm tapping out of this. I am really not in the mood for someone jumping on something that simply wasn't written in the way they act like it was.

@GeraintLlanfrancheta @stux It seems to me to be several orders of magnitude more difficult to become and stay leader in China than USA and part of it seems to be having to spend time in a Chinese gulag - the last three were 're-educated'. If you are 16 and want to be leader in 30 years you should be a student dissident today. Even Jack Ma found out there was no shining path.

@doctormo Thank you for all your work on Inkscape!I've used it as part of my scientific work, for many figures in my articles.Sometimes just to be able to easily arrange and annotate, not really using any of the advanced features. But having a script that can automatically export to the format I need when the underlying input images change, has just been too easy to set up

@randahl @RuthODay2 funny thing, too. The question is still relevant today, nothing much changed regarding fossil fuels and uranium. The world is still buying from Putin. The embargoes are not working, or our dependencies are too strong - still on fossils.Renewable energy from sun and wind will change this. But the Republicans in the US and conservatives and rightwings in Europe are fighting them, slowing down the much needed change for clean energy, independance from Putin and other dictators.
