    @SmartmanApps@dotnet.social @davidrevoy@framapiaf.org @Stem@framapiaf.org …but this poll was done in a local reality online…

    You’re not making any sense.

    "but this poll was done in a local reality online" - no it wasn't. It was shared across multiple platforms 🙄

    "You’re not making any sense" - as I already said, you need to learn about Statistics. Do that and it will all make sense

      @SmartmanApps@dotnet.social @davidrevoy@framapiaf.org @Stem@framapiaf.org Yes?

      There is a link between caring about privacy and being anti-AI.

      There is a link between caring about the environment and being anti-AI too.

      There is a lot of these links. That’s why it’s biased…

      "There is a lot of these links. That’s why it’s biased" - so you're saying if I see a lot of links about Nazi Germany in my timeline on a WWII anniversary, then I am biased towards Nazi's? 😂 I see you don't understand how polls work. Bye dude

        @SmartmanApps@dotnet.social @davidrevoy@framapiaf.org @Stem@framapiaf.org So if you ask tho the neighbour city instead of only the one you live in, that’s enough to convert the local reality of “your city” to a random sample?

            Which is a bit concerning for a “maths teacher/tutor”.

                          @SmartmanApps@dotnet.social @Stem@framapiaf.org @davidrevoy@framapiaf.org If you have more serious studies than “a poll on the web” to prove that 90% of the whole population is against IA, I’ll take them.

                            @SmartmanApps @breizh @Stem So, according to your logic, Smartman, if we would re-run the US presidential vote here (constrain: only with voter who have a Mastodon/Fediverse account since more than one year to exclude bot and newcomers) we would obtain the same result as the one reality gave us? Right?

                            Well, statistic or not, I wouldn't bet on that even a single Euro.

                                  @SmartmanApps@dotnet.social @davidrevoy@framapiaf.org @Stem@framapiaf.org If you ask 25 of your students, it’s not a random sample.

                                  Even if you ask them to ask 25 other people too. Because the people they know aren’t random.

                                    "Right?" - Wrong. Voting isn't compulsory, so you have to only poll people who are going to vote

                                      "If we apply fedi polls in reality, we would have" - you got any polls to back you up on that? 🙄

                                        Even if you ask them to ask 25 other people too. Because the people they know aren’t random.

                                        "If you ask 25 of your students, it’s not a random sample" - that's right. If you only care about the students in your class then that's the entire population, not a sample. I see you wanted to prove you don't understand Statistics. Good on you

                                          "I can find a bunch yes" - so why haven't you cited them? That's how backing up claims works
