This isn’t just Israel’s genocide. In the words of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Israel is “doing the dirty work”* but this is very much a genocide being committed by the West.

Why use the concept of "nation" when you mean states? It's an ideological construct to subsume a multitude of people under a common concept, in order to control people. A dangerous myth which takes effect only in so far as people believe in it. We shouldn't use it as if it was just a neutral descriptive notion.
Btw: Not all antifascists who have a german passport support Zionism. -

However, all the linguistic nitpicking I’m seeing on this subject does feel rather on the nose when weighed against the gravity of a freaking live-streamed genocide that is being actively aided and abetted by our states and our nation-states. @delta_fsociety @bbacc @aral Are you saying that a) all islamic countries work the same, i.e. Palestine=Iran, that b) it is acceptable to kill children and other civilians in the presence of military combatants and infrastructure, and that c) Israel's actions in Gaza are always carefully chosen to target the military?
I'm trying to make sense of your argument here because it seems quite beside the point.
