Why would DHH's reputation need to be changed and overhauled? Because he is an extremist. That is being funded. Omarchy is he way of normalizing his politics. That is what is so insidious about it.
Do you think a project run by someone who wrote those essays and published that doctrine is just neutral open-source infrastructure? If yes, we disagree on the facts. If no, then we’re arguing about degrees of complicity, not whether there’s a link.
Framing this as "complicity vs agreement" ignores open-source fundamentals. Licenses exist to separate code execution from individual ideology. Technical infrastructure operates strictly on code quality, security, and license compliance, not the author's personal politics. Pragmatism is not endorsement.
(Note: I heavily criticize Omarchy's bloat and architecture myself—I judge it as a maintainer on code quality, and it simply falls short technically.) -

Thanks, I really appreciate the support. You're completely right—arguing with them is like talking to a brick wall. My main goal is just to make sure people stay informed so they don't fall for their manipulative noise and misinformation
