@brennan The arguments are entirely mine—I just use an LLM for translation since English isn't my native language. If you have an issue with that, we can easily continue in Turkish and you can handle the translation yourself.
My point stands: constantly moving your goalposts from 'funding extremism' to 'reputation washing' doesn't change open-source reality. Attacking translation tools instead of addressing FOSS economics just proves you ran out of valid arguments

@brennan As a mere user with little background knowledge, I got lost on bullet 3 of the initial page because I did not realize that DHH is the Omarchy founder. So weave that in for the unfamiliar folks like myself. Thanks for bringing attention to this. I understood that programming either attracts sick people, but I didn't realize that they'd grouped together. Clearly DHH needs to go and meet the newcomers to London, and probably a few other things.
Words of caution, but not discouragement: Sometime before the 2024 election acceptance in the the US started being co-opted as a bludgeon (by opportunists who are not accepting). The accusation of intolerance was becoming just as corrosive as hate itself, and had I been less wise, I would have thought tolerance was a sham. So make sure to pave a golden path to repentance for these people that isn't a mere show. As Sun Tsu pointed out: "When you surround an army, leave an outlet free." Art of War 7:36. Had I lived a slightly different life, I could have turned out to be an intolerant jerk myself.

Framing this as "complicity vs agreement" ignores open-source fundamentals. Licenses exist to separate code execution from individual ideology. Technical infrastructure operates strictly on code quality, security, and license compliance, not the author's personal politics. Pragmatism is not endorsement.
(Note: I heavily criticize Omarchy's bloat and architecture myself—I judge it as a maintainer on code quality, and it simply falls short technically.) -
