@randahl The real winners here are the lawyers for the tour promoter.
They are going to generate many, many billable hours by suing everyone who breaks their tour contracts.
Everyone else will lose money here - the promoter, the musicians, the road crews, the fans. But the lawyers will have a great Christmas.

#Pink deserves to be mentioned because it was Pink who triggered this entire drama. it was her who brought to the recent forefront criticism of #Macklemore for his support for #Palestine, he has been doing this on stage for years

She is millimeters from accusing Macklemore of antisemitism just because he criticises genocide. In my view, it is HER connecting Jews in general with the acts of Israel — not him — and that is really unfortunate.

@benroyce @randahl @FrancoisPrague I don't know anything about Ed Sheeran that I haven't learned this week. He can just go fuck himself. Pink, on the other hand, is someone I've known and respected for years. Her involvement in, and statements about this, really disappoint me.

British singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran's Loop tour boots American rapper Macklemore, after Macklemore condemns Israel's genocide in Gaza.
Result:
American singer Fineas quits the Loop tour.
Dublin singer-songwriter Aaron Rowe quits.
Danish pop singer Lucas Graham quits.
Ed Sheeran's own backing band Beoga quits.
The tour was supposed to continue until December, but all that is left is Ed Sheeran and the support for Israel's genocide.

@androcat @benroyce @lordkhan @randahl @FrancoisPrague when people say that Israel has a right to exist, what they're actually saying and maybe not realizing is that Israel only exists as an Apartheid state, and could not exist without it. Supporting Israel means supporting this genocide and that's how we need to call that out. Not that they support Israel, or the Jewish faith and ethnicity, but genocide and only genocide.
