Yep. Followed the same trajectory as the gentrification of trendy neighborhoods:
• young artists do cool stuff
• young people doing cool stuff attracts attention
• attention attracts money
• young artists are priced out
• money chases money
• eventually billionaires arrive, ruining whatever's left@australopithecus @michelestrider oh yeah, I watched that happen to Portland over the past 25 years.
