I didn’t vote for Biden in the primary, but I held my nose and voted for him in the general because he was the best of a bad lot of options. That’s usually how voting works - picking the least bad candidate, despite misgivings.
This toxic idealism you and the person you’re quoting are expressing is part of how we got Trump. Twice.

@JackMexa4 @benroyce Zelensky isn't a 'Nazi', but people should critize the Ukrainian government for making the leaders of the OUN/UPA to national heroes. They were Nazis, they slaughtered Jews and Poles before the real Nazis came along and then they helped the Nazis in the Holocaust.
There are also many neo-Nazis in the Ukrainian forces. Let's not belittle ourselves in ignoring this. It's a real problem.
The Ukrainian idoliazation of former OUN/UPA guys is shameful.

Having said this, Zelensky isn't a Nazi, but the question of Nazism will come up in the future. Espacially when Zelensky isn't the president anymore..

@JackMexa4 @benroyce Yeah, of course, but for this reason we should be able to critize Zelensky for going along with the Ukrainian admiration of the Nazis in the OUN/UPA. It's just wrong.

It was a pointless move on Trump's part anyway.
1) The numbers are tiny. 300,000 metric tons is just 14 hours of US consumption.
2) It takes a minimum of 30 days with no delays for a tanker of diesel to get from Russia to the US. So not until after the midterms. And it would require several tankers for that amount.
So it's not going to affect diesel prices in time, if it does at all.
