Local reality exist online the same way as they do offline. If you’re saying that a local reality isn’t a valid random sample, then a poll shared on the web isn’t either. Its results will depend on where it was shared, and who have shared it.

But a poll on the web will never be a thing that we can use to conclude anything by itself.
