They're making it clear that creating things isn't what's important to them, it's about getting the recognition they think they're owed. -

@metin I am not against AI. I have been using all kinds of machine learning based image generators for roughly a decade by now. I am, however, against "intellectual property". How can something that is easily copied be considered "property"?
Every time I publish anything a virtual neural network made for me, I publish it with the ull prompt I used. The entire point of it all is that anybody can do it, and if I happen to come up with a prompt that generates interesting results, I want others to be able to use and modify it.
I also make old-fashioned pixel art with ancient paint software and new recreations of it, and I publish everything I make under CC licenses so other people can take it and modify it. I also paint pictures with acrylic paint on canvas or cardboard, I draw with pencils and felt tip pens, and I publish everything I scan under CC licenses. I really hope that all of my works have been used in several image generators because I absolutely want them to be able to produce images in my style automatically.
What I don't want is companies "owning" AI. Me being against I.P. obviously also includes software copyrights and things like that. I want everything, every bloody thing, to be in the public domain, I want everybody to be able to use any content in any way they like without having to pay any money to anybody and without asking for permission. -

@metin the prompt stealers just need to adopt the small penis rule to shut down the prompt influencers.
"the original creator of this prompt is verified to have a smol..."

@metin What the heck? Seriously, if AI images are not subject to copyright, then it follows that prompts aren't either. Please, continue to steal Amira Zairi's prompts as much as possible if you are cool with burning down the planet.

But if you want to make a living from creating, especially as a freelancer, some form of monetization and legal protection is needed. IP helps to enable that. When a rich commercial TV station used my work without paying me, my agent approached them legally, and they paid because of IP law. These days, gen-AI has made a total mess of that.

@akamran @SuperMoosie @mrundkvist 2/2
2. Someone analyses a gen-AI result, then describes it very accurately as a prompt, yielding a very similar result.
Or…
3. It wouldn’t surprise me if there are already tools that allow you to reverse-engineer gen-AI results back to a probable prompt.
@metin @akamran @SuperMoosie @mrundkvist Some image generator tools embed all the creation info (model names & versions, prompts, etc.) as metadata in the generated image files.
