You know what would be cool? Being friends with a trans woman my own age.
I think there are only 2 trans women I'm actually close with, and one of them's >10yrs older than me and the other's > 10 years younger than me.
I'm not sure I've even *seen* any trans women my age (early 50s) here on fedi. I hope there are some.
I just feel kind-of isolated. You know?
Anyway. If there are any 50ish yr old trans women out there looking for a friend…

@masukomi I'm 51, transitioned at 35, married to the same cisgender woman for 29 years, dress like a soft butch, work in information security, play PC games, have been writing as a hobby since 1981, am extremely AuDHD, lifelong depression sufferer, cPTSD from an abusive step-dad, and I take care of my disabled wife and cats as best I can. Also, lapsed pagan trying to regain my faith in a way that avoids its frequent gender essentialism. Trying to learn to ask better questions instead of focusing on answers.

@masukomi I’m 55! I know, never ask a woman her age, but i also wish i knew some people elder than me in both age and trans lived experience. Loneliness is the greatest threat to our mental health. 🫂

@masukomi I'm a trans... something, or we are rather because I speak for a plural system, and we're 51 on paper. My elder sibling is in my headspace though and they are 53.
