@Em0nM4stodon I'm leaving Discord over their age verification bullshit. It was never a great platform but somehow it's what everyone uses. I have 6 people who are active in the new place, a Discourse forum, and it sucks that there is no good app like Discord has but I'm not uploading my ID anywhere.

@dckim @Em0nM4stodon In the UK, age verification is already mandatory for 18+ servers, yes. Discord wants to introduce it globally.

Seriously, I'm sticking with Discord for now. My friends agree, we don't need ID to do what we do. If that changes, we'll drop it.
@Longspeak we're on the same boat, but just to be sure I already prepared a self hosted stoat instance and a steam group (we're all gamers that have steam) that reflect the discord server. So if something happens it's really just an invite.
