@forestine It seems they have now fixed this behaviour and it now works the way you would expect it to.I thought it hadn't been fixed, but it had been. Apologies for the confusion caused by my original post, I've edited it to make all this clear.

@5225225 Group chats in DMs are quite common so there might be a danger of frequent false positives causing people to ignore the warning completely or want it switched off.I guess there could be a warning if an account is added after the chat has already started, but I don't know how easy it is to code?

@hms88 Weird... sounds like some kind of localisation problem on that particular app in that case.Whatever it is called (mentions, specific, private mentions, mentions only, direct etc) it works the same way.

@ClintonAnderson Some people do that, you can stream to Twitch and PeerTube and OwnCast at once.I've seen some streams where they've combined the chat displayed on the video stream, and you can see messages coming in from many different services.
