@Meyerweb "Papiere bitte" was a trope in 50s-70s tv shows to that someone was living under Fascism.

This trope was mocked in the 3rd Indiana Jones movie (1989), as Dr Jones said it to a Nazi, who had no papers, and Jones kicked his ass and threw him off of the dirigible, causing a room full of Nazis to immediately pull out their papers so it wouldn't happen to them.

Now the trope is long gone as it's become the slogan of the 2026 GOP.

Techno-feudalism - the knowledge workers labor with computers and software tools, but they do not own either. They pay rent (subscriptions) for the privilege.
