I would never give my information to an AI startup that promised to predict my age at death. -
Firefighters in the USA are overwhelmingly Republican voters, constantly voting to accelerate global warming upon themselves and endanger their own lives.I somehow missed it. Thank you so much for reposting.

I would never give my information to an AI startup that promised to predict my age at death.I do.
It's some of the best fun I have all year. The students pick up something that looks like an airport novel and don't know why we're going there, and then they find out as we move through it. And in the end they end up knowing exactly why.
Live the dream. I'll gladly supervise a senior PhD on Pratchett.

I would never give my information to an AI startup that promised to predict my age at death.Oh, and Susan Sto-Helit is very much up there as well. And Lady Sibyl and the Agony Aunts.
Yeah, once you get started.

I would never give my information to an AI startup that promised to predict my age at death.True. I'm teaching Vimes again this semester and I'm absolutely loving it.
I'm about to dig into the witches series and I'm fairly certain I will leave with Granny Weatherwax as a strong comptetitor for the title when I am done.

I would never give my information to an AI startup that promised to predict my age at death. Not really, but if you can arrange it I WOULD very much like a conversation with Pratchett's Death who is one of the most lovable characters in the whole series. And that's saying something.

Firefighters in the USA are overwhelmingly Republican voters, constantly voting to accelerate global warming upon themselves and endanger their own lives. This sounds so counter-intuitive, though US politics being what they are, I can, alas, believe it regardless.
I'm not challenging your veracity,, and I will take your word for it, but do you perchance have a source for the firefighter votes easily at hand?

Brilliant analysis.Understandable. It remains a problem that so much brilliant content is stuck on Substack.
-
Your regular reminder: If the Russians stop fighting, the war ends.Quite depressing that this basic fact needs pointing out again and again. Yet, here we are.
Thank you for doing the, alas, vital job of repeating the blindingly obvious as others try to obfuscate it.
-
Brilliant analysis.Yep. This, too, is why you don't give them the hemisphere.

Brilliant analysis.Brilliant analysis. Go read.*
* Actually, you are a creature of free will and divine dignity. At heart, you cannot be forced to do anything that goes against your soul and your nature. But it IS a fine piece, and I would greatly appreciate it if you would - by your own volition - direct some freely given attention to it.

If I were a politician this is what I would say about right-wing groups demand to examine the genitals of athletes:Hard agree.

If I were a politician this is what I would say about right-wing groups demand to examine the genitals of athletes:True.
Also it's the patriarchy at work. Who in their right mind would let their daughters participate in sports if it meant that someone could demand to inspect their genitals?
And so, girls' sports become rarer, and girls' options in society become more limited.
All in the "service" of protecting girls.
Trans-rights are a wedge issue, and women are always next i line for the hit. Misogyny at work.

Fuck Republicans! The problem with this sign is it underestimates just how bad the republicans are.
Come to think of it, that's not a problem with the sign. It's a problem with the republicans.

You're in her DMs.@wow, it has an actual story? I always thought the whole point of the scenario was to have very little.

You're in her DMs.@subm3rge @maxleibman @NuclearOatmeal
Such fun memories. Such good times. Those were better days when a hobgoblin could take you down.
-
You're in her DMs.I literally hadn't thought of that scenario for 30 years, and now I miss it.

Thank you for this.... I know ...
