So, this is basically "Good-bye Facebook"?
Any way that we could destroy this completely tyrannical company, let's get it over with. This is top-tier excellent news, and hopefully something new and better can be taking the place of that monstrosity.
It's only a wonder that it took so long for this to happen.
@NathanMurdock We'll see in August, but fingers definitely crossed!

The damages could be as high as $1.4 trillion, nearly the same as Meta's market capitalization at just above $1.5 trillion.

@stefan let's hope it does destroy the company; unfortunately Mr. Zuckerberg will just retire to a life of unimaginable luxury rather than being on the receiving end of justice.

@stefan
I couldn't bear the lies, the court cases, the data thefts and more lies any longer and stopped using everything META from March 2026 onwards. People keep shaking their heads about my refusing to use WhatsApp for example. Sometimes I have to giggle remembering its tabloid function called "status". It's just a bloody tabloid rat hole to pull us into. Which nobody needs. I don't miss it. -

@stefan meta is considered "too big to fail" obviously so taxpayers $ will be used to bail them out if this case actually sticks somehow

@stefan Amazing it took this long to recognize that given that they've been doing it since like 2013 or so... I guess better more than a decade late than never.

@stefan Oh my gosh, South Carolina is actually in the list of states with Attorneys General who are suing Meta.
South Carolina rarely sues for the citizens. Only for the wealthy.
