If a baguette could move, how would it move?
-
Before you answer 3 - I made 3 more baguettes that don't distort
(plus a snake one because I felt like it) -

(this is an old GIF from the archive, posting it here finally)@sheepfilms 1. Don't know why. It just seems right.

@bimmer Thank you, you basically picked my two personal favourites

@sheepfilms if you ever do more, can I suggest -
corkscrewing through the air like a propeller
and
flapping like wings? -

(plus a snake one because I felt like it)@sheepfilms 3 or perhaps 5

Seriously! Baguettes 1 and 8 are a special form of nightmare fuel I didn’t know I didn’t want until just now.
@Giamedin @sheepfilms @KeefJudge
1 and 8 are my favorites but I don't disagree they are also nightmares. -

(this is an old GIF from the archive, posting it here finally)@sheepfilms baguettes already move. They're parasites, they wait and hitchhike in the hands, arms or bags of unsuspecting humans. Granted, most are later consumed by said humans or their relatives or friends, but if even a tiny piece of it survives, it can reach adult form: a rock like spongy structure. The transition usually takes less than a day.
Unluckily not much is known about their adult life or reproduction habits because people throw them to the birds or away.

(this is an old GIF from the archive, posting it here finally)@sheepfilms I'm saying 5 because that's just how I roll.

(plus a snake one because I felt like it)@sheepfilms definitely 6

(this is an old GIF from the archive, posting it here finally)@sheepfilms I was tempted to say 3/5, but I'm going with 6. Rolling would eventually damage the crust on top, and when rolling up to something there's no guarantee that you end up flat side down, leaving it potentially unbalanced. 6 solves all those issues.

(plus a snake one because I felt like it)@sheepfilms In the real world probably 5. In the cartoon world it would probably be 6, because who doesn't want a happily jaunting baguette?
In the eldritch horror world, 1. -

(this is an old GIF from the archive, posting it here finally)@sheepfilms @dlx #3 is the only possible way to move, all others could only be performed if it is not fresh

(this is an old GIF from the archive, posting it here finally)@sheepfilms First I thought it must be one, but after seeing other options I think 6 is likelier.
-
@Nael great answer!

If a baguette could move, how would it move? Give your reasoning pls.
(this is an old GIF from the archive, posting it here finally)@sheepfilms If it was a lovely light crunchy French baguette, it’d fly gently through the air. However a British supermarket baguette would probably smash those elegant black tiles whatever method of locomotion it attempted.

@rich ooof! Dad joke haha

(this is an old GIF from the archive, posting it here finally)@sheepfilms it would deploy a sail and be carried along by the bries
