@overholt This is probably the last handful of graduations where most students entered college before AI became quite so widespread. Given the number of stories we're hearing around new students pushing everything onto AI it makes me wonder what the sentiment, or graduation rate, is going to be in another 2-4 years.Will we see rates plummet because no one can pass the tests? Or will we see they remain the same and diplomas become worth no more than a rubber stamp?

I think it's an enormous blind spot.The 'in public' discussions are largely fine, once you have a basic blocklist that filters out the most active attack sources (the ones who like to pounce on #introduction posts with racial slurs for instance)We have it exactly backwards. There is zero friction to being a troll, and a large part of that is literally open registration instances.All the friction is on our side, and the duplication of effort is considerable.And for most of us, moderation is not our day job.

@cinebox the signal would actually be stuff like if the site used to block IA and no longer does (so you can't compare what was on the site with what is there now) - i.e. putting on a "red team" hat in terms of security - if I were building a slop site, I would start with someone acquiring an old domain that has a long address history but for whatever reason hasn't been archived - then I could build slop and make it look like it was organic and the result of years of posts/content/community
