They really are dead upstairs, and they just move money back and forth like tides and moons. They don't even need to wake-up (sober-up) to succeed in banking, meaningless as they've made it all.
The offices and desks are just to make us think they have a purpose in it. -

@heavyimage @dan @steve @dev also putting in a good word for the episode of Well There's Your Problem on military powerpoint, which has some real goodies in it and plenty of context from a service member about the sort of environment that creates some of them (while still being baffled at a few of their specimens)

Like the article says, the best is when they start trying to explain and analyze purely abstract concepts. I remember reading one about “commander’s intent”. Not any specific commander’s intent, but the very idea of intent itself.
They are truly powerpointing at a level the rest of us cannot even comprehend.

@dev its interesting to see the robotics bubble also get acknowledged. Those humanoid robots in the illustration have no use case. Roboticists fear the next AI winter will also be a robotics winter. Non-humanoid robots are actually useful, so maybe they'll escape it.
