@img What scholarship do you mean? I am not American and not 100% up to date on US domestic everything.

@randahl SLAM!!! Perfect!!

@clacksee I would consider nextcloud. I use that for calendar, files, photos, the works. I exported Proton Pass to a zip (json file) and imported that JSON file into keepassxc (works perfectly, including TOTP/MFA), and that KeepassXC file is synced via Nextcloud too. For iphone I recommend keepassium to access that file.

VPN: ExpressVPN (which I use) or IVPN (heard about that last week).

I don't know if that would cover everything except email (you have lots of suggestions for that).

@seanm I moved away to KeepassXC which is synced via Nextcloud. It works very well.

edit: I'm actually considering one of KeepassXC's paid options, simply to sponsor them.

@_elena

@_elena Too bad as they were off to a good start. They now seem to be set for a 'good end'.
Really glad I once did the exercise to move once before, to test KeepassXC.

Indeed, a clean slate would be best for them, but the damage is done. That goes fast and reaches far.

@_elena Aye, this shocked me a big one too. I don't use their mail option a lot but I have Proton Pass. Seriously considering the move back to KeepassXC now.

@ninawillburger I have seen it in person (and in stone) last June!

@crcollins Considering the massive backlight, I call this an amazing and great shot.

@ChrisMayLA6 I have actually written several extensive 'manuals' in webpages for people, pointing them at the pages, and for some reason it remains a scary thing. It's easier to complain about the 'current place' and stick with it than going to a good place where things are new... ‍️

@mossman @FediTips

@ChrisMayLA6 I have typed with several people who 'tried' the fediverse.

Their main 'problem': you have to select a server.

No way that it's possible to explain that all servers are connected; their brain are monolith platform based. "Network" doesn't click with them.

Also: change is scary. New is scary. And "all my friends are on <insert platform>."

@agitatra 1 dot. It circles back to itself.

@ArchaeoIain

@simonbs I ran it in 'free' mode for a while and it's just brilliant. Thank you for creating it. It's exactly what I was looking for.

@janhelms True that. It's odd how that seems to be connected...

@_elena Ermagerd... if those numbers didn't spell 'fail', then the need for that hashtag certainly did...

I wrote a blog thing. About iphone, obsidian and nextcloud. But it's really about a text editor.

Thank you, @simonbs, for Runestone!

@bzdev And your funny proved to be correct.

Connect the dots.

@robotwig Incredible work.
Fantastic.

@BryanGreyson This is how people 'work'.
Well done. I'd have waved too.
