@doctormo Thank you for all your work on Inkscape!I've used it as part of my scientific work, for many figures in my articles.Sometimes just to be able to easily arrange and annotate, not really using any of the advanced features. But having a script that can automatically export to the format I need when the underlying input images change, has just been too easy to set up

@datarama does the programmer play guitar or drums?

@cocaine_owlbear @alyx It’s a reasonable assumption: a cat is the only thing that could check such an armed dobermann.

@Nickiquote Surprisingly gentle. The predecessor to the modern kitty cat

@tj bruh

@simonjust Also, I just discovered that Thunder/Betterbird search is the worst thing I've ever seen in my life 🤬🤮 I literally thought I'd opened some developer interface by mistake. Since I use search a lot this is going to be a dealbreaker - I simply have to get something better than this nonsense, apparently designed by an alien who is also insane & hates me personally.

@Extra_Special_Carbon @nonehitwonder bootlick for someone who will notice you.She would not be a billionaire if she were a good person. She benefits from a network built on monopolies and payola. i.e. she's in a kind of mafia.Billionaires are parasitic and here you are begging to be drained. What a weird thing to play devil's advocate for.

@agturcz @ilumium Seriously? Invoking Godwin's Law in the VERY FIRST reply? That has to be a new record. And I find it extremely hard to believe that a server rule where you tell people that you would much prefer that they do not yell at each other over politics and religion, translates directly into "I'm secretly a neo-nazi running a Mastodon server that I want people to use for disseminating far-right slurs and conspiracies without the rest of the world knowing."Are there servers where it is true? I'm sure there are since you mention it. Are they per definition all nazi bars? Very unlikely.

@randahl Strange that the US didn't sanctioned the Nobel Prize Committee: they never said thank you for all the peace efforts of president Trump. Or the whole Norway.

@netbsd @cr1901 may I suggest @roxy then? She did my profile pic

@teotwaki @matdevdug Well, that's called the Productivity Paradox & it's beyond the scope of a few toots - but there's Wikipedia articles about it & everything. Basically it's the fact that everybody has been racing to implement computers into everything since the late 70's, spending ever greater wads of cash on it, but it didn't make things proportionally more effective or efficient. It's also the precursor to enshittification. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Productivity_paradox

@prism @cwsound @verge The companies behind those platforms work together: one hosts the other.

@pmakholm Enig. En perspektivering til betydningen af denne beslutning for det amerikanske midtvejsvalg, som finder sted om få uger, kunne være fint.Har Putin mon lovet at hjælpe med online indflydelse?

@mastodonmigration @jwcph more than that…

@mwl I think I never sucked that hard at playing minesweeper But all that gibberish coming from all sides, popups etc, was just so annoying and distracting I kept making mistakes xD

@felicitymartin So beautiful!!

@klgn Åh, den kan I garanteret ende med at koge meget drille suppe på

@kristinHenry the women I knew in university who majored in mechanical engineering had this the worst, with project partners assuming they don't know how to use tools, construct things, etc. Meanwhile, I was tutoring for electrical/computer engineering and a majority of tutors were women, and my group projects with female classmates tended to go much better than when it was a group of guys

@agreeable_landfall yes . full episode on https://youtu.be/S18jxWZntUo?is=IPlYqA6VvLuB9dEJ

@chu @AnarchoNinaWrites You jest, but he literally thinks that if there's a prize or award for anything, anywhere, he should have it. He is the spoiledest of brats to ever walk this Earth.
